With the support of its members, the Hafnerbach Energy Group defined green energy generation sites in the municipality, combined them into an energy hiking trail and also designed and implemented information portals. The trail was opened as part of a hiking day.

In Hafnerbach, the Hafnerbach Energy Group has engaged intensively with energy topics in the municipality for many years. The commitment of the Energy Group gave rise to projects such as a photovoltaic atlas for Hafnerbach and an e-car sharing model. In another project, the Hafnerbach Energy Group has now devoted itself to the topic of awareness raising and installed an energy hiking trail.

This loop trail passes various facilities for sustainable energy generation and has six display boards that provide information ranging from biogas to wind power and photovoltaics. However, the Hafnerbach Energy Group wants to convey further aspects of energy with the project. For example, the trail makes a topic of and puts into perspective the energy consumption of humans: How much energy do I consume when I walk the trail? How far do I have to walk to power a light bulb? And how much energy does the snack after the hike contain?
