Young women living in rural areas overwhelmingly underestimate their personal opportunities for the future compared to those living in urban areas. This is resulting in a brain-drain of well-educated women. This project is intended to highlight how modern and diverse the situation for women can be in rural areas and what opportunities for the future are on offer in the Wachau-Dunkelsteinerwald region.

LEADER region should be identified from across the entire Wachau-Dunkelsteinerwald region. These women and their actions should be profiled in the form of a publication. This will be done by holding interviews with the women and examining their circumstances more closely.

The potential of rural areas should be highlighted with authentic portraits of the women and graphically appealing instructions on how to imitate them. Around 600 copies of the publication will be issued and distributed throughout the region.
